I Wonder if I’ll ever get it right
“I Wonder if I’ll ever get it right” By Chris Must Die
Last night everything seemed a bit colder.
Last night my thoughts were a little lonelier.
Every time I think I’m doing so well my memories prove me wrong.
It’s as if your smile is burned into every happy memory I can recall.
That same smile used to humble my haughty demeanor now it only provokes it.
These thoughts sting and exalt the ignominy I feel for letting you fall.
I realize now that I am just as at fault for the presumption that you’d adjourn your life for me.
I was wrong now these memories sting me in spite.
I wonder if I’ll ever get it right.
